Cable Cars in Chiatura

The city situated in a steep valley used to be an important mining town in the Soviet times. Nowadays you can still visit manganese and coal mines to watch the production process with your own eyes. However this is not the reason why most tourists want to visit Chiatura…it’s the public transport that attracts them. The cable cars built over 60 years ago are everywhere and they connect every corner of the city. Taking a ride above the town, enjoying amazing views and strolling around the city is an unforgettable experience.
